The Team

Andoni Canela, active since 1994, has published over a dozen books on wildlife and regularly contributes to National Geographic and major media. He has directed various wildlife documentary and collaborates with WWF and other conservation groups, using his work to champion endangered species and wild places.

Unai Canela is a young Spanish filmmaker and activist known for his nature documentaries and as a TV host. From childhood, he joined his father, Andoni Canela, on global expeditions.

Together, they created the award-winning feature film “Panteras” (Wanda Films, 2021) and the TV series “Panteras (La Serie)” (RTVE, 2023), following a five-year quest to document the world’s big cats (screened and prized internationally in festivals such as Jackson Wild and Wildscreen).

Their earlier documentary, “El Viatge de l’Unai” (2016), starred Unai as protagonist and narrator at age 10, winning multiple international awards. In 2017, they launched the docu-reality series “Espíritu Salvaje” on Cuatro, TVE.

Unai’s solo work began with “Alone in the Mountains”, which made him the youngest director to compete at the San Sebastián International Film Festival. In 2025, he released “Alone in Greenland,” following his solo Arctic expedition searching for polar bears and musk oxen.
